Welcome to Interior Design Nepal. We are committed to protecting your personal, financial, and property data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, store, process, and safeguard your information in compliance with the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) and other applicable laws of Nepal.
By engaging our turnkey interior execution services, utilizing our design consultations, or using our website, you explicitly consent to the data practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
As a turnkey execution firm, we collect both digital information and physical property details required to manage a project from design to final handover.
A. Personal & Contact Information
- Full Name, Phone Number(s), and Email Address.
- Permanent and current billing addresses.
- Official government-issued identification (e.g., Citizenship Certificate, PAN, or Passport) when entering into legally binding execution contracts.
B. Project & Property Specific Data (Turnkey Execution Needs)
- Physical Project Site Address: The exact location where execution takes place.
- Property Visuals: “Before, during, and after” photographs, floor plans, blueprints, structural dimensions, and video walk-throughs of your property.
- Design Preferences: Lifestyle profiles, material preferences, color palettes, and specific spatial requirements.
C. Financial & Transaction Data
- Bank account details, transaction receipts, tax invoices, and mobile wallet details (e.g., eSewa, Khalti) processed for design fees, procurement mobilization, and labor payouts.
D. Digital & Technical Data
- IP Address, cookies, and website usage patterns collected via Google Analytics or metadata through online inquiry forms.
2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
Pursuant to the Individual Privacy Act, 2075, we process your data strictly under the legal basis of Contractual Necessity and Explicit Consent. We use your data to:
- Draft, finalize, and execute turnkey interior contracts.
- Conduct structural evaluations, create 3D renders, and manage on-site carpentry, electrical, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and civilian labor execution.
- Procure furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) from vendors on your behalf.
- Process staggered project milestone payments and handle tax compliance under the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) of Nepal.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures
We do not sell your data. However, turnkey execution requires sharing specific project variables with authorized third parties:
- Subcontractors and Site Supervisors: Only essential data (site location, layout drawings, material choices) is shared with on-site engineers, carpenters, and technicians.
- Material Vendors and Logistics: Delivery details and site addresses are shared with vendor partners supplying custom furniture, lighting, or materials.
- Marketing & Portfolio: Property execution photos may be used for our portfolio, social media, or website only after obtaining explicit verbal or written sign-off from you, ensuring no private personal markers (like structural addresses or personal items) are visible.
- Legal Compliance: Data may be disclosed to government authorities if strictly required under Nepalese law or tax auditing.
4. Data Security and Storage
Your data security is paramount during long-term execution projects.
- Digital Safeguards: Digital floor plans, contact details, and financial agreements are securely stored in password-protected cloud databases with restricted access control.
- Physical Safeguards: Printed technical blueprints and contract files are maintained in restricted-access physical offices.
- Data Minimization: In line with national guidelines, data that is no longer required post-warranty/handover timeline is systematically archived or securely destroyed.
5. Your Data Rights under Nepalese Law
Under the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), you possess distinct statutory rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Access & Rectification: You can request a summary of the data we hold regarding your project and correct inaccuracies.
- Right to Withdrawal of Consent: You can revoke consent for marketing communications or portfolio feature displays at any time.
- Right to Erasure: You can request the destruction of your personal information once project closeout, final invoicing, and structural warranty periods are fully resolved.
6. Contact and Grievances
For data modifications, privacy inquiries, or exercising your legal data rights, contact our designated Data Grievance Point of Contact:
- Company Name: Interior Design Nepal
- Email: [Insert Email Address, e.g., privacy@interiordesignnepal.com.np]
- Phone/Office Address: [Insert Local Phone Number & Lalitpur/Kathmandu Physical Address]
⚠️ Implementation Note for the Business Owner:
- Consent Forms: For portfolio usage, create a separate Media Release Clause inside your physical turnkey contract. Do not rely entirely on a passive website privacy policy to publish photos of a client’s private residence.
- Vendor NDAs: Ensure that any regular structural subcontractors you use sign a basic Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) so they do not leak layout plans or client site details.
